MILLIONAIRE WIDOW

Falling in love and being married to John had been natural to Cody. They took care of each other and they were OK with each other taking care of themselves. Until his parents got involved and then all John had cared about was their needs and she was left to follow suit. She shook her head at the negative thought and looked at her watch realizing it was getting close to 9:30 and she needed to meet with the realtor at the local coffee shop just up the street. Turning abruptly she bumped into a solid wall of muscle. A tall dark and handsome cowboy to be exact; it was as if her breath was knocked from her lungs. She just stood there looking up at him with her mouth open.
"Son of a bitch! What the hell?" He seemed startled and pissed for running into her then Cody looked down and at his chest which was eye level to her and realized he had coffee in his hand and a donut which he was now wearing along with the ground.
"I'm a I am so sorry," she stammered after she got her breath back into her lungs. "I wasn’t looking where I was going. I'm so sorry I was looking at this window display and just turned around and there you were." Cody had a shy smile on her face as her face heated with a blush. He was so good looking she couldn't help but stare. She had the sudden urge to touch him to make sure he was real.
She pulled a napkin from her pocket and reached up attempting to wipe at his cheek but he quickly grabbed her wrist with a glare, "What the hell are you doing?”
"I just thought I'd wipe your face. You have coffee all over it and I'm afraid it's my fault.” Cody smiled up at him trying to calm him hoping his glare would subside. Looking down at his blue button up shirt she realized he looked dressed for an appointment or meeting. The collared shirt was ruined now, stained with coffee. ”I'm so sorry about your shirt, now you have coffee all over it, I'm really sorry."
"I'm fine thanks." He grabbed the Kleenex from her, wiping his face he attempted to wipe his shirt with no luck the napkin was soaked and turned to mush in his hand. "Fuck!"
Cody couldn’t wipe the smile as easily from her face. This man was a walking sex cowboy add, “I’m really sorry please let me help you. I can buy you a new shirt or I can wash your shirt. I feel like such a klutz,” Cody wouldn’t mind seeing his bare chest, “Please, at least let me buy you another cup of coffee."
Jack looked down at the stammering woman in front of him. One look told him she was not from Thirteen Creeks. Shaking his head, he knew the city type, quick to throw money at a problem, “Its fine don't worry about it. I got a few sips in already. Thanks anyways but I'm in a hurry." With that he rushed past her and got into his truck started it up and pulled out into the street squealing his tires as he went.
Cody wasn't sure what to think of the man. He was so damn hot but other than that his personality was lacking. She had apologized and yet he still seemed really ticked off, but then maybe he was just having a rough morning and spilled coffee just made it worse. She shook his tight cowboy ass from her mind and continued to walk to the coffee shop. Probably exactly where he'd come from.
